The spiders are on the move, here in the casa.
Big ones...
And medium...
I saw both of these guys within about one minute. I didn't get a picture of the apparent tarantula on my couch, a few minutes earlier.
It's a creepshow, some days.

ReplyDeleteThey're just doing their part to keep down the fly population in a "Green" manner.
ReplyDeleteSteve A: That is exactly my attitude about spiders. I welcome them as the "Terminix Man" of the buggy world.
ReplyDeleteYea, must be the season for big, hairy spiders. We've got some in our old farm house. Man, they give me the willies. We leave them be, not just because we respect the job they do, but mainly because I'm afraid I'd lose a fight with one of those big guys.
ReplyDeleteThose are the friendly kind! They're wolf spiders, H. carolinensis specifically. Their bite is mostly harmless to humans. I've handled many and I've never been bitten, though. They can grow to become some of spiders you'll find here in the US. Their continued presence guarantees the control of other much less savory critters.
ReplyDeleteI meant to say "some of the largest spiders you'll see in the US"
