Sissy

...bar, that is!

Mark grabbed this early-70s luggage rack at a yard sale for me, today.  I plan to modify the mounting hardware to fit the Scrambler.

I have to admit, though, that I am somewhat tempted to run the sissybar at least part time!

Obsessive? Me...?

Okay, maybe just a bit.

Actually, I realize that I do tend to obsess a bit, about many things.  But, I temper that by totally ignoring others.  Unfortunately, sometimes I should probably swap those things around.  Maybe, if I obsessed a little more on making money...

Anyway, one of those things I tend to obsess about (you may have noticed) is consecutive bike commutes.  I suspect that may have had a great deal to do with my developing Achilles Tendinitis, last year.  Now that I am back on the bike, I have fallen back into my obsessive ways.

I'm trying to change, and as part of that, I am going to ride the motorcycle to work, tomorrow and, possibly, for most of the week.  I am going to be working on a different schedule, this week, so that I can assist in training someone, and that puts me on my commute an hour and a half later.  I'm not sure that I want to ride the bicycle during rush hour, even through the relatively quiet neighborhoods on the way.

So, this looks like one of those occasions where a normal person would just adjust their behavior to account for changed circumstances.  I think I will give it a try, and see what "normal" feels like...

Foxy

As I was riding to work, this morning, I saw a fox cross the road, about a half-block ahead of me. Once he was in the front yard of the house I was approaching, he lay down in the grass, confident that the dark was concealing him (I suppose). Then, he watched me ride by, curious but unafraid.

I thought to myself that I should post that up on the blog. Then, it occurred to me that I haven't posted anything, at all, this month. Band practice has taken up a lot of my time, and I really haven't done a lot of riding other than my commute.

I have managed to continue my consecutive bike-commute days, so far, this month. I don't know the number of days, off the top of my head, though.

Steve and I have a show coming up, on October 13, at 3Kings. It is a Saturday afternoon show (3:30-5:00), not really a headlining gig, but it will get Skull Full of Blues on stage...
